My Practice

Grounded, trauma-informed therapy
shaped by curiosity, compassion, and clinical depth

Supporting Meaningful and Lasting Change

I see both therapy and life as being less about reaching a destination and more about the journey along the way. Meaningful and lasting change often unfolds gradually through curiosity, reflection, and compassionate awareness of the patterns and experiences that have shaped us.

This rarely happens through quick fixes or rapid solutions, but through a thoughtful process of coming to understand ourselves more deeply over time.

Along the way, we often develop greater clarity, resilience, wisdom, self-compassion, and a more connected relationship with ourselves and others. It is these moments of beauty, insight, and connection that slowly and quietly become part of who we are.

My Path and Practice

The Story Behind My Practice

My journey into psychology has been shaped by both lived experience and over 30 years of walking alongside others in their healing. From early work in high-performance sport to decades of clinical practice, I’ve remained grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of being human.

My therapeutic approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, and a belief in the innate wisdom of each person’s inner world. I work with gentleness, curiosity, and a trust in the process of reconnection—supporting clients as they move toward greater clarity, compassion, and self-leadership.

The Foundations Beneath the Work

My therapeutic work is grounded in ongoing training and deep clinical curiosity. I’ve completed Level 1 and 2 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute and IFSANZ, as well as Level 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

My approach is further supported by training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and advanced certification in The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP)—integrative methods that support healing at both the cognitive and emotional levels

With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and active AHPRA registration, I’m committed to offering care that is both ethical and evidence-informed.

I continue to engage in regular professional development to ensure my practice remains thoughtful, responsive, and aligned with the evolving needs of those I work with.

This commitment reflects my belief that high-quality therapy is grounded not only in training, but in ongoing reflection and learning.

Supervision And Mentoring
Supporting Those Who Support Others

As a supervisor, I find genuine joy in supporting the growth of fellow psychologists—sharing knowledge, deepening clinical insight, and fostering reflective practice.

I also have the privilege of mentoring psychology students through the University of Melbourne’s mentoring program, contributing to the development of the next generation of mental health professionals.

These relationships are grounded in mutual respect, curiosity, and a shared commitment to thoughtful, ethical practice.

Medicare Benifits

As a clinical psychologist registered with Medicare, my clients are eligible to receive the highest Medicare rebate available for psychological services. This includes up to 10 sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Care Plan, or up to 40 sessions for clients with a recognised eating disorder diagnosis.

If you're covered by a private health fund, you may also be eligible for a rebate on psychological services. Clinical psychologists typically attract the highest rebates, but eligibility and rebate amounts vary—please check directly with your health fund for specific details.
